Doubtful Joy

New York University

2014

An original devised piece, Doubtful Joy uses excerpts from each actor's experience with death and loss to explore what it means to lose someone, and how people of different faiths and backgrounds cope with grief. Including elements of song, puppetry, and shadow play, the audience is invited to find themselves in the varied points of view and excerpts of personal narrative and quoted material.
